The Strategy and Impact Team at NCVO has produced an introductory guide to change management for organisations in our sector, ‘From Here to There: Managing change in third sector organisations’.
We decided to write this guide because managers in the third sector often face particular challenges such as stakeholders with very different motivations to those in the private or public sectors, as well as – of course – the need to manage short-term funding cycles and, for many, shifting relationships with the public sector.
Our guide acknowledges these particular challenges and is packed with examples and case studies from across the sector.
Building on established management theory, the guide aims to help you understand different types of change, choose the right approach and plan for a change that lasts.
The guide was published through the Performance Hub, a national project supporting the third sector on organsational performance topics (2005-2008).
