Community and Arts Centre Aims are to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the local community, without distiction; to advance education and to provide facilities for recreation and leisuretime activities
Giving more control over people's lives back to them, is in theory a positive move, but it cannot be done without support, both financial and supportive services, to allow the local community to develop.
At the last Board Meeting of the Gregson Community Association the Trustees were asked if they would accept the grant funding offered by Lancashire Environment Trust for the "Wider Access Project", which would allow the installation of a tree stage lift giving access to the upper floor of the building to those who are mobility constrained. This will allow greater usage of the Centre by a wider range of people, and we are very excited about it.
