I dream about inclusive and diverse Third Sector where no-one is left alone regardless of his/her background or believes. I believe that the Third Sector has an important role in empowering communities and individuals and this role is worth devoting the whole life to it.

Localism agenda

Personalisation of services

Level and sources of VCS income

Conservative focus on social justice

2010 General Election

Identity politics

Attitudes towards immigrants

Global population movement

Hmm, Central-Eastern European immigrants hear so often that they dream only about coming home after a few years that there is a risk that they will start to believe it!I myself am someone who is often called "Immigrant from A10" and believe me, I'm heading only forward. Ethnic and cultural diversity

Poverty and inequality

Funny thing that sometimes orgs are so concerned by their own financial stability that they seem to tend to forget about individuals in their communities. I have an impression that some of orgs, although seeing a need of enhanced relief services, are scared to push funders and local authorities to get money which could support some of the much needed services. They are scared because it might affect their existing funding. For example, I would be very happy to join crusade for extra funding for supporting the homeless but, honestly, I don't see any of crusade. Especially on local level.
